The Perfect Storm.
THIS STORY IS A SCENARIO OF WHAT HMOs AND ROGUE LANDLORDS ARE DOING TO OUR COMMUNITIES. THIS IS NOT TARGETING MINORITIES
This Labour Government will do anything to hit their target of 1.5 million new homes by the end of this Parliament with all the monetary problems they have been left with because of the Conservatives, but its not good enough and definitely not a reason to let HMOs be built on every spare corner that’s available.
Anyone can see that if they let all the cheaper houses become HMOs it means less low cost houses for families and sub standard housing for the homeless.
In the end we are not solving a problem but creating a bigger social problem for the future. People cannot live on top of each other when they suffer from mental illness, never mind share a kitchen or living area when they ill, it can only mean future problems.
In fact, the Government might as well open a Job Centre for the drug dealers and criminals in this country.
Here’s a scenario.
Joe, an illegal immigrant, moves to this country. He’s not allowed to work and he becomes desperate, so he borrows money off the same criminals who trafficked him because they have an abundance of money they are struggling to launder. Joe buys a take-away but almost straight away he realises there are too many in town and most of them are failing. Joe still has to pay his loan and the traffickers start to get aggressive threatening Joe’s family. Joe’s scared and is desperate. Then he has a visit from the traffickers and they give him an ultimatum sell our products (drugs) in your shop and we will look after you. Joe decides he doesn’t have an option and takes up the offer. Almost overnight he starts to get loads of orders and realises he needs more delivery personnel but his new partners insist they supply them . These delivery men are recruited from the desperate people that have been brought to this country by the traffickers and they will do anything just to make a living, so they go about their deliveries with no questions asked.
The take-aways soon become much busier and the workers are told the more they deliver the more they will get paid by getting cash in hand. The traffickers see another opportunity.
If they lend their riders cash to buy expensive electric bikes, which they have to buy from them, they will be able to cut delivery times and make even more money. The riders jump at the chance and don’t realise they will never pay their debt off, but they still make good money, and something is better than nothing. The traffickers have that much money they start to buy properties and rent them out. Soon they realise they can change the properties into HMOs and make even more money. Then someone realises a way of making more cash from putting homeless people and immigrants into the properties. Not satisfied with that, they build HMOs and put their own staff into them, which the government pay them to do by way of grants to help build the HMOs, and by way of rent that the government are willing to pay to get immigrants out of expensive hotels. Someone also realises there’s even money to be made and they tell their tenants to tell everyone they don’t earn enough money to cover expenses, so the government end up paying their rent and this allows them to get financial help for every day needs, and for this they put up with living in overcrowded housing. The traffickers carry on buying buildings and soon end up owning so much money and property the government can’t win against them. The laws in this country are being used to corrupt the illegals. No one asks where the cash comes from to buy these properties and no one cares about what happens to the immigrants as long it's not on their doorstep. If we carry on like this it will be too late to repair the damage already done. And there will be two communities in this country, the legal and the illegal.
